We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to lead on the delivery of key income streams relating to major donors, corporate supporters and trusts & foundations. We have ambitious plans to grow our fundraising activities to help Mountbatten continue to be there for the over 4,500 people who need our care and support every single day of the year.  

Mountbatten hospice group is a leading provider of palliative and end-of-life care in the UK, delivering a wide range of innovative and award winning 24/7 services, across parts of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We are the largest organisation of our kind in the region, with a budget of over £20m and serving a population of over 700,000; and with a 200% growth in the number of people we are supporting in the last four years. Fundraising, alongside retail and commercial income covers around two thirds of our annual running costs, with the remainder coming from NHS and other commissioned services. With costs rising and income sources not always guaranteed, the role of fundraising is critical. 

This new role, as a member of our Income Generation and Communications departmental management team, will report to the Director and play a strategic role in both developing and delivering our fundraising strategy. With a particular focus on major donors, the role will lead on stewarding our existing supporters while actively seeking new opportunities.  

The successful candidate will bring significant experience of working in fundraising within the corporate, major donor and / or trusts and foundation fields, with a strong track record of achieving sustained results and growth. The individual will have the skills and confidence to work with a wide range of potential donors and supporters, nurturing long term relationships and providing a compelling narrative to help build support. As well as focusing on major donors, the role will also manage our Corporate Partnerships Lead and Grants & Trusts Lead and associated budgets & resources, playing an active role in both shaping and implementing our strategy in these key areas.
