Grace Agbonlahor Foundation UK is seeking up to three new Trustees to join our Board and help shape the next stage of our development.
GAF UK is a UK-registered charity supporting locally led work for women and girls in Nigeria. We are strengthening our Board during an important stage of growth and are particularly looking for professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

Fundraising and Partnerships
-
Programmes, Impact and International Development
-
Governance, Legal and Compliance
Candidates may have experience across more than one area, but when applying, please clearly indicate which Trustee focus area you are most interested in and how your experience relates to it.
This is a voluntary, remote Trustee role with an expected commitment of around one hour per week on average, alongside attendance at Board meetings and occasional additional support when required.
Previous Trustee experience is welcome but is not essential. We are equally interested in professionals who are considering their first Board role and can bring relevant expertise, sound judgement, independent thinking and a genuine commitment to our mission.

Established in honour of Madam Grace Agbonlahor, the Foundation builds on a legacy of resilience, enterprise and community leadership. Our ambition is to combine practical, locally led programmes with strong governance, evidence and partnerships that can support sustainable and measurable impact.
GAF UK works in partnership with Grace Agbonlahor Foundation Nigeria, which leads programme delivery and community engagement locally. The UK charity provides strategic governance, fundraising, partnership development, grant-making and oversight, creating a structure that combines UK charity governance with locally informed implementation.
Our current portfolio includes IgniteHer, which supports young women to access digital learning and career development opportunities; MarketCare, which focuses on the health and economic wellbeing of market women; Thrive100, which supports women and widows to strengthen their livelihoods; and ThriveIndex, our evidence and research initiative focused on identifying and responding to barriers affecting girls.
As GAF UK enters its next stage of development, we are strengthening our Board and wider governance arrangements to support sustainable growth, broaden our partnerships and ensure that the organisation continues to operate to high standards of accountability, safeguarding and impact.
