Green Spaces Service Manager
Salary: GR15, £58,558 - £59,695 per annum
Contract: 37 hours per week

As part of a new Green Spaces and Sustainability Service, Bridgend County Borough Council is looking to recruit a new Green Spaces Service Manager. You will oversee and manage the strategic development and operational delivery of the Council’s Green Spaces Service, involving the ongoing development and sustainability of all the service area functions and its teams. The service area functions include Green Spaces operations, Urban and Rural Grass Cutting, Public Realm Improvement, Cemeteries and Burials and Asset Management and Development.
The service aims to provide a visible, responsive, and proactive service focused on improving the appearance and day-to-day condition of neighbourhoods, town centres, and community spaces across the county borough. You will lead a practical, highly visible “can-do” function, demonstrating the council’s commitment to maintaining, enhancing, and investing in its places.
Required for the role:
· Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
· A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
· The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
· A Health Surveillance assessment through our Occupational Health Service is a requirement for this post.
