As a Trustee, you'll share collective responsibility for United St Saviour's Charity's governance, working with fellow Trustees and our Chief Executive to ensure the charity is well governed, financially sustainable and focused on delivering lasting impact for the people of Southwark. You'll provide support and constructive challenge to the Chief Executive and senior staff, contribute to setting strategic direction, and help create the conditions for an engaged, high-performing Board. As an ambassador for the charity, you'll promote our values and reputation, and stand by decisions reached collectively — even where your own view may have differed.
We're looking for people who understand the key features of effective governance, including strategic planning, risk management and change management. You'll bring strength in one or more of: housing/property, governance, community development, or finance. No previous Trustee experience is needed — just a genuine commitment to good governance and a willingness to learn.
